Davina Perret Music Studio...

where students fall in love with music.

In my studio, students explore and grow in their musical skill by singing, moving, playing a variety of rhythm instruments, using technology and by creating.  They will be exposed to many different styles and time periods of music. At the beginning levels I teach in a group format, establishing a strong foundation of basic musical elements and technique.  We use Harmony Road Music Curriculum, starting at the age of 18 mos.-3 yrs. old with Toddler Tunes, and progressing up through Music in Me for 4-5 yr. olds, and into standard beginning repertoire for piano, guitar and ukulele.

Group lessons, which are at the heart of my studio, offer an especially unique experience as they have fun with new friends and are exposed to a dynamic and motivational learning environment that can challenge students to higher levels of preparation and commitment.  It is often from these group classes that students learn to be life-long musicians and lovers of music.  I teach piano, guitar and ukulele in a group lesson format.  I even teach adults!  Individual lessons are also available upon request. Contact me to inquire about scheduling.

About me...

I bring 18 years of teaching experience into my studio, along with a passion for equipping and inspiring students to be life-long musicians.  I believe every person is musical in their core and that music has so many benefits for our minds and bodies. Lessons at the beginning stages should be fun and engaging, with many different modes of learning.  With a degree in Music Therapy from Colorado State University, I also have experience working with students of all abilities, including those with special needs.  Every student has different strengths and areas of challenge, and I work as best as I can to differentiate and meet each student's needs.

I am a member of Music Teachers National Association, as well as a local MTNA group, Foothills Music Teacher Association (FMTA).  Through the sponsorship of FMTA, my students have many opportunities to perform in a variety of events and recitals.  Learn more about playing opportunities here.

I am a wife, mother, avid runner, book club reader, and graduate of Chatfield Senior High (go Chargers!).

"Davina has gone out of her way to make sure her students receive the best lessons possible. Davina was an incredible music teacher at my sons school and has taken her experience, fun and kindness to motivate her students to make quick and easy progress. My son loves having her as his guitar teacher and he loves going to his practices." ~Candy H.

"Ms. Perret is well-rounded, talented, music instructor. My three children have taken piano from her and she has exposed them to music competitions, theory, classical through modern/contemporary pieces, duets, chords, praise and worship band playing, etc. They are used to performing through studio opportunities, so they have become more at ease about it."  ~Erin R.
